Ho’oponopono encore… June 26, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 2:05 pm

I heard a saying yesterday about this whole Law of Attraction thing – it was something like “If it was hard to do, then everyone would get it.  But it’s simple, and that’s why we have so much trouble with it.”

And then I began to read over the other Ho’oponopono post and realized that it sure is short and sweet!  :)   And I wonder if you realize that it is vital to recognize that this is very simple stuff, but that you have to take it and make it your own.  You can walk around saying “Thank you, I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you” and probably feel better after a while.  It can be that easy – if you want it to be.  But letting go of old patterns, heck, even waking up to them in the first place, can be the greatest challenge some of us may have ever faced….

So take it all in – remember that it is simple – and then make it your own….

“Thank you to that part of me that raised this particular feeling/belief/thought in my awareness at this time”

“Now I know what I have to look into further…thank you.”

“I’m sorry that this feeling caused strife in myself and potentially others.  I see the positive intent behind this feeling, or the old pattern it is in keeping with and I forgive all.”

“From now on my intent with this is to ________”

“I deeply and completely love and accept all parts of myself.”

If you’re breathing deep and placing your hand on your heart or your head, and maybe try staring closely at a mirror!   Let the spirit move you….but don’t feel as though it has to take place in the outer world.  If you’re driving along and feel road rage, you can speak to yourself in the inner world and no one has to know but you.  But others will pick up on your calm demeanor.

Life is to be lived, and I think it is increasingly important to find ways to throw things we love in to the mix and not ’schedule them’ so much.  Someone once asked a yoga instructor what poses she could do to strengthen her ability to bend over and pick up children as she does in her daycare 5 days a week, and with her own two children all the time.  A voice spoke from within me before I could even stop it – and I said – “That is your yoga.  You live it everyday.  Find the stretch, the joy in reaching for a child.  Feel yourself grounded with Mother Earth and Father Sky and breathe deeply and with unconditional self acceptance as you do it.  That is your yoga.”

There is too little time to fit in a class, or wait for advice all the time – just live it in all that you do now my friends….

Laughter really is the best medecine… June 25, 2007

There are many serious yet inspiring stories, of people healing themselves of cancers and other deadly diseases by watching comedies and laughing and using positive intent of self-healing throughout their days. Tonnes of research and world-wide movements into laughter yoga, breathing techniques and through it all no one can deny – breathe is one of the most powerful parts of our existence. Some of us may take it for granted that we breathe – until an unpleasant smell comes into our awareness….but think about this – you can go without water for days, without food for days, but you require breath within seconds (minutes for well-trained peeps who hold it under water!)…

Take some time out to think about your breath today…is it shallow? Does it quicken when you feel a certain emotion? What do you feel after you deepen it? How does it feel to contract you rib cage or to feel your lower belly rising with the power of air, and pushing that air back out again?

We have a general tendency when we get older to breathe lighter and more up in our chest and with a shallow timing. And so goes our laughter as we age. We laugh quickly and sometimes quietly to not disturb any sort of perceived peace around us. Not so when we are young. If you are not around young people right now, then watch the video below to jog your memory:

Above all, remember what it was like to laugh fully – deep in your belly complete laugh our loud laughter. Abandon all notions of what others will think, or how you sound, or anything in and in the moment laugh! Wholeheartedly. There is great therapy in laughter…can anyone in the moment they are laughing feel anything other than joy? I mean truly – doesn’t it all seem to melt away, and isn’t there a sense of restored peace, even if only for a few seconds, after a good laugh?

I encourage you all to laugh and breathe like babies, and to find the laughter in your daily routine.

Light and Laughter to you all!

Pamela

Claim Your Power June 25, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try, little miracles — Pamela @ 2:43 pm

I have watched this video over 25 times now and I just have to put it at the top of my page again, because I feel the power of intent behind it and REALLY want to make sure that anyone who would not otherwise scroll down and read through the posts to find this one will have the opportunity to see it…

May you connect with your dreams in peace and love today….

Grab some kleenex and hold on for the ride – this story is absolutely amazing. It will take your breath away when you become aware of any assumptions you may have made before the end of the video and you will cry out for joy that someone has re-claimed their power, despite all odds, but also with all odds.

When you know what your gift/dream is, sooner or later it will find you a way to realize it, and hopefully you are willing to step up to the microphone when that happens….there could be no better feeling in the world than to live and act in harmony with your purpose. God Bless you Paul for showing us a piece of beauty…

Thank you! June 19, 2007

Imagine for a moment if you were to notice in the moment you were feeling other than peace, exactly the emotion, and what triggered it, and then in the next moment you were able to thank your inner self for showing you the next layer of the onion to peel off?!  If someone says something that upsets you, then you know right away that you are experiencing a limiting belief associated with that feeling and you can tap away (see EFT tapping in “Grab a Coffee”) or write in your journal, reframe it, or meditate on it for a bit and find peace with it.  Whatever your style – whatever works for you, but you have it within you to do it, are you aware of that?  You don’t have to replay painful situations over and over and over again – you are only a victim as long as you choose to be.  Hard words to hear sometimes, but great power in them, because there is such great power in each one of us!  Let your light shine today.  :)

I’m relatively new to this type of technology, but I have discovered that you can download all sorts of podcasts for free through iTunes and listen to them on your computer, or burn to CD for your car, or your iPod if you have one.  Either way, tonnes of free podcasts in all genres!  I’m downloading language lessons and meditations as I type!

Have you listened to any podcasts that you would like to share with the rest of us?  Am always interested in learning new things…

Limiting Beliefs June 11, 2007

Beliefs are something we carry deep inside of our souls, and they are formed at a very young age, but they shape what manifests in our lives today. Have you ever considered delving in to what your beliefs may be? Finish the following sentences with whatever comes to mind first:

“Money doesn’t grow on…”

“A penny for your…”

“It takes money to make…”

“Success doesn’t happen…”

Now how do you think your answers to the above are shaping your life? Consider re-framing those standard sayings with a flood of positivity that makes sense to you and see if you can come up with that line first when you see these statements again.

Embrace the beliefs you hold, because they have kept you safe and have brought you to where you’re at today – but if you’d like to go somewhere else, then thank those beliefs and let them go and embrace new ones on a frequent basis.

May abundance overwhelm you today and always.

Disclaimers June 11, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Food For Thought! — Pamela @ 6:38 pm

I was just pondering today the idea of disclaimers – and I have no idea why to be honest…

But have you ever found your blood pressure rising the moment someone says – ‘no offense’ or ‘with all due respect’?  How is it that we feel it is okay to say whatever we want as long as we put in some sort of polite disclaimer that lets the person(s) listening know that they are not supposed to take offense or feel disrespected by whatever we say?  I mean, if you feel that strongly about saying something should you not also be willing to accept the consequences of how others react to it and allow them whatever reaction they choose???  The disclaimer seems to me to be more for the person saying it – to make them feel better and not the other person.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this…

Yummers! June 1, 2007

Filed under: Creative Cooking! — Pamela @ 7:00 pm

I love food…it is a beautiful way to let creativity flow through you and to connect with all that the earth provides! Regardless of your eating habits and diet, food can always be a pleasure if you choose it to be that way.

Here’s what I’ve enjoyed lately:

  • Mashed up avocado, pineapple chunks and a bit of their juice, chopped up roma tomatoes, all stirred together and thrown into a wrap! SUPER TASTY.  Also good with toasted pumpernickel.
  • My all time breakfast favourite: poached eggs on toasted bagel with goats cheese, fresh baby spinach and cottage cheese on top!  What a hefty meal anytime of the day.
  • TAZO Chai Tea -comes in the cartons and you can throw it into the blender with some milk and ice for a beautiful summer treat at home.  I love my bullet for this!
  • Greens.  Amazing way to start your day, or get that afternoon boost!  My favourite kind so far: Progressive in blueberry flavour.
  • 002’s! Rice paper wraps from my favourite Chinatown establishment.  I’ve figured out how to make them at home and they are a delightful and economic treat!  You can get rice paper and vermicelli in almost any grocery store now, and whatever else you want to put in is up to you.  I have tried shredded baby spinach, shredded carrots, chopped peanuts and thawed cooked shrimp so far.  And I made a peanut sauce to dunk them in that goes really fast!  Real peanut butter (just mashed up peanuts – no sugar or anything), coconut milk, red pepper flakes if you like it spicy, a bit of brown sugar if you want it a bit sweeter, and I just throw it all in the bullet, but I’ve seen recipes where you can boil everything and cook it and let it chill etc.  I’m sure more ingredients would add to the taste, but I love peanut butter and coconut milk so much I didn’t bother to add anything else yet!

Please do share what has been on your plate lately – I love learning new ideas.
