Gregg Braden – The Divine Matrix July 30, 2007

Filed under: Food For Thought! — Pamela @ 1:11 pm

Ah the internet – what a lovely resource…

Check out the ideas behind the work of Gregg Braden, author of such thought-producing books as The Divine Matrix, The Isaiah Effect, The God Code. He also holds workshops and such around the world to help us all understand what is happening in the world today.

This 10 minute clip will truly awaken a sense of what is out there, and what is inside as well. Grab a tea and sit back and enjoy! Although this is part III, you could look up the other parts on youtube if you like, but I found this one quite interesting, so I thought I would share…

The Tipping Point! July 30, 2007

Filed under: Food For Thought!, Something new to try — Pamela @ 11:34 am

I feel like a one-sided book club sometimes! If anyone else is interested in starting a virtual bookclub for the fall, let me know. I would love to delve into books and then share ideas, impressions and feelings about what we’ve read as a group – and boy oh boy do I have some interesting suggestions for a fall reading list! www.freeteleconference.com hands out free US telephone numbers to use as teleconference calls too – if you want to meet up by telephone. But I digress…

I read The Tipping Point this weekend – a great little book by Gladwell – the author of Blink!. It discusses what causes movements, be they in sales, marketing, epidemics of disease etc. Some great stats and stories to back things up, but all done in a manner that anyone can read and understand. It makes a lot of sense too. If you run your own business, or are thinking about it, or very passionate about the business you work for, this book has some insights for you! Are you a Maven? A Connector? A Salesman? Do you know of any in your life?

In this day and age of so many media vehicles and messages, we are constantly confused and overwhelmed with all that is out there – which is more than enough to fill a few lifetimes, no?! That’s why we turn to our peers and people we trust for information and direction. Do you buy a car without asking friends and family what they have liked/disliked about their own vehicle purchases in the past? And we all know someone who knows a lot about cars, and for sure we are going to ask that person before we dive in to a $20,000 purchase or more.

It’s interesting to learn more about ourselves, peeling off more layers of the onion so to speak. A great weekend read. I highly recommend it!

Fire Flies, baby ducks, and such… July 20, 2007

Filed under: little miracles — Pamela @ 3:42 pm

Yesterday I had the esteemed privilege of carrying my three year old nephew David on a walk through a campground when nightfall had just set in. I was overcome by all the fireflies in the trees and bushes and we walked slowly and whispered for some reason about how beautiful the fireflies were and how many there were. I listened to little David’s whisper as he repeated exactly what I had said, and then realized that I had whispered it too! “Look at all the fireflies! Aren’t they beautiful?” I love fireflies – I cannot explain it, but I think it an amazing power to ‘light up’ and if there was a super power I could choose, it wouldn’t be to fly, or shoot fire, it would most likely be to illuminate! Radiate! Be the beacon in the night – shed light on the darkness. We did a 360 with David being held closely to my heart and breathed in the beauty that we were surrounded by these magnificent beings! It was a treasured moment to be sure.

Then this morning, in the pouring rain that has barely stopped for two days, as I was about to pull out of my driveway to run some errands, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a mother duck and her four little babies waddling by! I had to stop and smile – first of all thanking God that I DID LOOK before I put the foot to the gas pedal, and secondly that at the very moment I was able to see such an adorable little sight of these 5 creatures waddling and the oh-so-cute little ducklings just following their momma with complete faith on a stroll through the rain.

I find great joy in these moments….and I share them with you in hopes that they remind you of the joyful moments you have in your day too.

Peace,

Pamela

Fire the grid! July 17, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Food For Thought!, Something new to try — Pamela @ 10:21 am

I was on an amazing teleconference last night, and when the website and project is up and running I am so excited to share it with everyone! In the meantime, there are some amazing projects afoot that I wanted to share with you all so that you too can experience a sense of peace, a sense of togetherness, a sense of healing. It really is already there for all of us, and connecting to what is, in this present moment, is a beautiful gift we have all been given. Imagine if all the problems in your life right now, are there only because you perceive them to be there. And in perceiving them to be there, you unconsciously keep them in your life, until such time when you are able to imagine that that problem is no longer there. That is why I love present moment awareness and really enjoyed reading ‘The Power of Now’. If you truly stop and quiet your mind and all the 60,000 thoughts that course through it on a daily basis, even for a moment, in that moment, is true peace and love. Nothing else. Everything exists, but it just exists, it does not present you with any requirement to action in that moment, other than to observe it from your place of peace and love. What a beautiful gift to have and to share. Then take that gift of imagination from peace and love, and join with millions of others around the globe who are also experiencing it – at the same time, although time is a concept in our minds as well.

Here is a grass roots project by one lady who had a life changing experience and discovered some beautiful truths and is sharing them with the world: www.firethegrid.com Even though 11:11GMT has already passed us by today, allow yourself to feel as though it is has not. That you are joining millions and millions around the world in a common prayer to mother earth. Imagine if for a moment, that the problems we perceive in the WORLD are also there because we observe them, and that the same healing power we each possess is alive and well in mother earth too, and millions are connecting to it. Imagine if you spent an hour in peace and love and imagined better than the best your mind will think possible for mother earth, here in this moment. May you feel the power of the wave overcome you with joy as a new understanding is upon us all.

Peace and Blessings,

Pamela

Imagine… July 5, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Quotes, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 10:09 am

Imagine for a moment; breathe deeply and imagine that all the energy you put towards disliking your current situation was full force in the other direction.

Imagine that you loved your job / your body / your life as much if not more than you dislike it now.

How powerful would that be to you?
That power is yours to have right now, and it has always been there for you, and it will always be there for you.

That power is you.

Goethe – one of my favourite quotes… July 3, 2007

Filed under: Quotes — Pamela @ 11:52 am

“Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it.

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Think on this one for a moment.  Don’t let it pass you by with a smile and an ‘oh that is nice’.  Breathe deep and think about ALL that you can do.  I mean everything.  Think of what you can create, what you enjoy doing, in the fashion of ‘if all of your needs were completely taken care of for life, and all the needs of those you love around you were taken care of too – what would you do?’.  Write out your list – the dream list.  All of the things you would do….

That is what Goethe is talking about….

Was world travel on your list?  I saw a new show last night with a host that is going around the world eating bizarre things and has created a television show out of it.  This guy travels the world and all he has to do in return for being PAID, is eat crazy stuff like frog eggs and having it on international television.  Tough life eh?  SOMEONE HAS TO LIVE IT, WHY NOT YOU?  Get creative, and really imagine what can happen if you actually tackled your list?

The world is your oyster if you see it that way my friends.  Breathe boldness into your body and follow those dreams!
