Empowerment is Everything!

Imagine even better than the best you can already imagine….if not you, then who?

Energy – what would you do to have more of it? May 22, 2009

Spring is finally here in full force.  We’ve got cloudy and rainy days, yes, but everything is green again and the lilacs are out!  A sure sign mother nature’s arms are open and ready to embrace summer too….ah a most promising time of year….

For Canadians, surviving the long, cold, dark winter is a triumph worth celebrating on a patio the first sign of spring.  I know I slowed down this winter.  More indoor activities, long sleeps, early to bed and later to rise type days and lots of creamy hot homemade soups!

This spring I discovered Cell Food

Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor, and you should not act on my advice alone, but if it feels right for you to look into and seek your doctor’s advice, then by all means pursue it!

It’s actually a series of sychronicities that brought me to owning a bottle of Cell Food and testing it out with some water one day in early May, but within 6 hours I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in my mood, energy level and mental capacity.  For all of you who work in an office setting, I’m sure you’re very familiar with the 3pm ‘wall’ that one hits and ponders yet another hit of caffeine to make it through the day.  I didn’t hit the ‘wall’ on day 1 and haven’t hit it since!  In fact, even my need for a second morning coffee waned.  So did my emotional appetite – you know the one – ‘I’m bored.  What’s to eat?  I don’t feel like working yet, maybe I’ll go get something.  Boy oh boy someone in the office is eating something that smells good.  Maybe I’ll go get me some!’

In fact, I’ve almost had to re-train myself to learn what my new tired is!

I had no idea how my energy level was affecting my life, my choices, my thoughts, my actions, my perception and my reality!  It’s amazing what having the energy to take on your dreams will do for boosting those dreams!

I’m not saying that this Cell Food stuff is for everyone.  But it’s worth asking yourself, what is your Cell Food?  What rejuvenates you and helps you make the choices you want to make and take the actions you want to take?  What renews your spirit and energy and inspires you to go forward confidently in the direction of your dreams?  What actions can you take today that will help you sleep better, feel more alert, and be more excited about your life?  What’s holding you back from taking these actions or pursuing these life-giving activities?  Are you sitting in the backseat of the car of life, or are you driving with the wind in your hair and the radio blaring?

Whatever your choices and actions are today, I hope they inspire you to new levels of personal connection to the Divine.

Blessings,

Pamela

Leadership… April 9, 2009

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try — Pamela @ 8:39 am

I do not train dogs, nor do I command a large company of thousands, but I have observed life and leadership and these are my thoughts….

The best way to walk a dog on a leash (lead) is to walk with them at your side. That’s how trainers do it. If you’ve seen the dog whisperer then you’ll recognize that he starts with an out-of-control dog that is all over the place and by the end of the show the happiest dogs seem to be the ones that are walking or running right alongside their master who is holding the leash.

Leadership in daily life is a lot like that don’t you think? It’s not about walking in front of people to show them the way. It’s not about telling them which way to go and then sending them out to travel it alone. It’s about walking beside them and experiencing the terrain together. Inspired leaders don’t need to hold on tight to the leash, holding you back in your enthusiasm or energy. Inspired leaders recognize which pace to set, and when things are getting off track and stop, they know when to do a 360 to ‘restart’ and continue down the path again with a fresh view.

May today bring our higher ‘leader’ skills to light, so that we ask of others what we’re willing to do ourselves, so that we walk alongside our peers, our employees, our managers and know that we are all one on this journey. And if a 360 is called for, dance it out, laugh it out, breathe it out and start down the path again….

Most importantly, in my humble opinion, be your own leader – all parts of you, side by side, in synchronicity and harmonious congruence and may whatever crosses your life’s path be an amazing story unfolding before your eyes, and may you feel grounded in all that you do, see, hear and feel.

Light and Love.

The Way I See It #26 March 25, 2009

Filed under: Aha moments — Pamela @ 3:45 pm

I’m drinking a fabulous vanilla roobios tea latte from Starbucks this afternoon and an ‘ah-ha’ moment hits when I read ‘The Way I See It #26′ as it appears on the cup:  Failure’s hard, but success is far more dangerous.  If you’re successful at the wrong thing, the mix of praise and money and opportunity can lock you in forever.

Wow.

Do you ever notice that when you’re good at something, then people ask you to do it again and again?  And you get comfortable at being good at it, so you keep doing it?!  To the point where you may not even enjoy it anymore, but you’re good at it and it’s comfortable now, so what’s the big deal?!

I know I’ve experienced that both professionally and personally before and I’m sure I’m not alone!  The question is, when your afternoon tea sends you a wake-up call, what do you do with that call?  :)

I’m interested in hearing people’s stories of wake-up calls – send me links to your blogs or your stories here as comments….

Perhaps we receive some degree of wake-up call everyday but aren’t always in the present moment to be aware of it?

I’m going to take a moment to breathe deep, go within, connect to the divine and envision a few things as already real in my life….ahhhhh….

Blessings,

Pamela

Falling down…finishing strong… February 24, 2009

Filed under: Aha moments — Pamela @ 10:01 am

Grab a kleenex….it’s powerful.

Somedays the world can seem like a daunting place and life can feel like a series of small steps forwards and big steps backwards….then you see the struggles and triumphs of spirit of someone like Nick Vujicic and you feel a connection to that burning flame of the light within, and the light within others as well….

May you reconnect with your light and let it shine – fall and fail today – it’s ok – it’s part of the experience you’ve chosen, but don’t forget to finish strong.  That’s your perogative too!  :)

Why… April 19, 2008

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 9:09 pm

I have to admit that I tried to end my relationship with the question ‘why’ years ago when I realized that they usually came from a victim mentality when I asked them of myself:  “Why haven’t I achieved my goals?”  “Why don’t I write more often?”  “Why is it so hard to lose weight?”  And I also realized that they had a negative almost offensive effect on others when I asked them anything that started with a “Why”.  Immediately I would get defensive responses and the situation would not go in a positive direction at all.  I know I’ve even chatted with friends about the question “why” and advised of my success in conversations when I eliminated it from my vocabulary.

Then the other night a fabulous mentor shed a whole new light on the potential use of the question why and it has opened my eyes and my energy in unbelievable ways!  Want to know what I learned?  Maybe you already know you lucky dog you!  :)

The question why has a response within all of us.  An automatic response that we don’t consciously choose at all.  Think about it for a moment.  Ask yourself a few why questions.  Easy ones.  Why is the sky blue?  Why do drivers slow down when they see a police car?  Why do telemarketers call during dinner hours?

What happened?  Did you have answers?  Did you have a response at least?  Most people do.  Most people feel compelled to answer a why question.  And usually with more than ‘because’.  Think of the occupations based on answering why questions – scientists, engineers, even management consultants.  Our brains are hard-wired to automatically search for an answer to a ‘why’ question.

So how about putting that automatic search function to work for you?!  That’s what a mentor shared with me lately!  Why is it so easy for me to wake up feeling rested and alive?  Why is it so easy for me to double my income now?  Why is wealth flowing from multiple streams in unbelievable abundance in my life now?  Why am I such a loving and giving partner?  Why is it so easy for me to feel the love and respect of my partner?

Breathe deep, smile when you ask them, and really feel as though these are real, in your life, right now.  Wow…..

Then let the automatic search function go to work for you.  The answer is not for you to form.  That is the role the Universe plays.  Just as when you ask yourself why you have such a hard time losing weight, you continue to have a hard time losing weight, for years, decades, and maybe a lifetime.  Since that wasn’t working for you, then there is nothing to lose but asking yourself “Why is it so easy for my body to be the right weight for me now?” a few dozen times a day for a few months now do you?

Let the Universe form the response to your new, heartfelt questions.  Have fun dreaming them up!  “Why is it so easy for me to take vacations on a whim now?”  “Why is it so easy for me to connect with my customers and help them with their projects now?”  “Why am I such a good leader now?”  “Why is life one smile to the next now?”  “Why is it so easy for me to see the Light in others now?”  “Why is it so easy for me to get along with my neighbours now?”

As with everything, the possibilities are endless!  The more you ask, the more the Universe has to answer, and believe me, the Universe is just waiting to answer and loves to over-deliver all the time!

So ‘why’ and I have started a new and beautiful relationship now.  I find it so easy to silently ask myself why questions consistently throughout the day.  And in fact, if I start to feel down about anything, it usually triggers me into some form of ho’oponopono – thanking myself for the awareness that I was immersed in a less than serving thought pattern and then forgiving myself and all that is, and then rhyming off a bunch of really fun and wild ‘why’ questions to get a smile on my face again!

Try it yourself and let me know how it works…

Here is the guy who discovered this method and wrote about it in The Great Little Book of Afformations doing a short video on youtube.  His website is here.

Why is it so easy for me to know that everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more is real in my life right now?!

Blessings of light and love to you all,

Pamela

Resistance… March 2, 2008

Let’s start with the concept that we are the Creator of all things in our lives.  That each feeling, emotion, encounter, and thought is something that we have created with our Divine Purpose in mind.  More and more lately I have struggled with powerful feelings of ‘not enough’.  I know I share this lot with many people, and that inspires me to listen to it and learn from it all that much more!  Resistance to what is creates so much unrest in our lives.  When we don’t ‘like’ feeling down, or not getting what we wanted from a situation.  That resistance is energy, our energy, and it is speaking to us with great power.  The same place where all your power comes from.  Because without judgement, power is energy and energy can feel good or feel bad, but it’s all still our energy.  Ask yourself today, the next time you feel resistance to anything in the moment, what that resistance is trying to tell you.  How can you graduate from that situation with love and joy?  How is this connected to your Divine Purpose?  Stop and listen in the moment to whatever your heart is trying to tell you and if nothing appears, be thankful for that as well.  Being ok, no matter what shows up in your life is truly the key to peace.  Sooner or later when you practice speaking with yourself about your feelings of resistance you will notice how strong your inner voice is and how much it has to tell you.  Always be patient with yourself and ask gentle questions as an observer and be grateful for whatever answer comes.  Always practice gratitude in the moment.  Because this moment is your life!

Another large source of resistance comes from past memories, or future anxieties.  I often ask myself when I’m feeling hurt by any particular situation if I remember feeling that feeling before, and when, and how does that feeling serve me now, and how I can infuse the situation where I feel hurt with love and joy.  It’s not easy, because our patterns are very strong.  Most of our core beliefs come from memories that were created before the age of 7, so if you’ve been unconsciously practicing a pattern for more than 30 years, of course one movie or one book isn’t suddenly going to remove that pattern from your life entirely.  (Or maybe that’s my judgement, and maybe it will!)  The joy truly is in the journey.  Of recognizing those patterns, being grateful for the awareness of them.  Learning from them and then consciously choosing new patterns with fresh intent.  But moving forward with goals and intent and visualization can be severely hampered if we bring the past into it all with us.  I often see people getting very excited about re-claiming their personal power, but I also feel the hurt and anger and disappointment in themselves for ever having let it go.  And they are determined that no one will take that power away from them again.  No one took it in the first place, we gave it away.  And carrying that hurt and anger into our future where we set a new intent that no one will have the ability to do it again, sends a message out to the universe that we want to keep experiencing the hurt and the anger and sure enough we will encounter situations where we feel that someone has taken something away from us again.  I see this time and again as a pattern in my life.  Do you see it in yours?  So how do we free ourselves from such a situation?  Consider for a moment where your personal power comes from?  Who are you really?  Without the job title, the relationships, or any material aspect of your life, who are you?  Really sit and ponder that for a moment.  Perhaps write a few ‘I am’ statements and see what hits the paper first….then gently take a look at them without judgement – are any of those statements of the material world?  Are any of them adjectives?  Keep revising and brainstorming until you are comfortable and confident that the statement of who you are is something that will never change, something that is constant, and something that is not of this material world.  Then meditate on how it feels to be connected to that Divine Spirit that is you.

Connect to that sense of who you truly are on a regular basis.  Touching your heart center, the top of your head, or deep breathing will usually trigger it for a lot of people.  Then when you experience resistance in your life to any situation, talk with that resistance and talk to it from that constant and very powerful source of who you truly are – which never changes and is always available to you and something that no one can alter in any way shape or form.  Perhaps the resistance, or the bad experience, is another opportunity to dialogue with who you truly are.  And to remind you that your Source has not depleted in any way, but that you have reconnected to it as a result of this experience.  Would that bring you peace and joy in a situation?  If so, then you know you are on the right path my friend.

We are all on a path….learning….growing….loving….feeling….observing….creating….but who we truly are is the constant throughout it all, and the joy in discovering that bit by bit, piece by piece, present moment to present moment, is the art of life!  I’m very excited to see that Eckhart Tolle has a new book out and that some people who participated in ‘The Secret’ have expanded upon their understanding and sharing of the Law of Attraction and developed another movie titled ‘The Opus’ coming in March 2008.  We are all expanding upon our awareness of how to navigate and there are many great tools to guide us along the way, but none so powerful as your own inner voice.

More and more I realize the value in the quiet moments of just listening….

May you listen and hear the wisdom of your heart today!

Blessings,

Pamela

Clutter February 17, 2008

Filed under: Aha moments, Clutter, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 10:26 am

I’ve always enjoyed watching Clean Sweep on television.  You know that show where the guy with the Australian/British accent gets into homes that people have almost stacked themselves out of with stuff and then they have a yardsale and whatever doesn’t sell goes off to charity and they come home the next day and the reno team has transformed their house into something truly functional?  If I had a dollar for everytime I silently wished a clutter team would sweep in and save me from myself, I would be in a different space right now – that is for certain!  However, life is not always a television show, and the best person to deal with my clutter issues is yours truly!  The comforting thought is that others have clutter issues too, so I thought I would share a few lessons I’ve learned lately…

  • Here’s the Clean Sweep guy on Oprah as he was talking about his new book.
  • Mind over Clutter – a new theory on the ‘in you haven’t used it in X amount of time’ rule
  • Get Organized Now – a truly helpful newsletter you can sign up for that comes once a week with fabulous ideas on how to organize your household.  Especially handy for tips on how to get your children involved.
  • Clear your Clutter with Feng Shui – I got this book years ago for my family and myself and it was the first time I started to clue in to the mind/body connection between clutter in our surroundings and how our bodies/health were reacting.  If you suffer from any energy draining in your life, you may want to take a look at the things you surround yourself with and consider letting go of them, and the emotions attached to them…

More importantly, if you would really like to know the emotional triggers behind what drives us to keep the stuff in the first place, then check out this blog from Paul Bauer.  Because let me tell you, I’ve seen some pretty darn organized pack rats too.  People who still manage to hold on to a lot of things in their life and because it all fits into labelled boxes and you’re not tripping over it, then it seems ok to hold on to it.  I aspired to be like that.  “If I just had the right storage unit.  If I label all my files in the filing cabinet and it looks organized, then it’s ok to hold on to all that paper.  If I just had a bigger home to display all that I love and cherish.”

Life is not about our stuff.  Stuff will come and go.  Even the emotional items are only emotional because we bestow that power on them.  Emotions are not material things.  And if we clear the material thing out of our lives, we have an opportunity to clear that emotion too.  Consider dialogging with your emotions and asking yourself how something is important to you, how else that importance is manifested in your life, whether or not that emotion could be manifested without this item.

I’m a big believer in FLOW.  I believe that things flow in and out of our lives and it’s fun to observe and very risky to attach our sense of who we are to any of it.  Money will come and go.  Jobs will come and go.  Relationships will come and go.  Those are all material items too.  If something isn’t serving your higher self.  If you have it because it represents who you wish you could be, but instead is a constant reminder of who you are not, then let it go and have faith that when you are that person, and if you need that item then, it will be available to you.

May you make peace with your emotions today and free yourself from a corner of clutter!  You’ll be amazed at the ripple effect it has in your life!

Blessings,

Pamela

Pretending… December 3, 2007

Pretending is a beautiful thing – it is the product of an active imagination. I love it when my little nephew gives us all air band instruments to play and we prance around playing our imaginary instruments and performing in our little air band. It’s jolly good fun! I’m so lucky I have a little nephew to dream up such things and remind me that I used to freely dream too. Take a moment for yourself today and really dream – really imagine some wild and outrageous possibilities! Freedom, love, health, wealth and true peace – you can dream it. So what if not so pretty alternatives are still there when you’re done your little dreaming session? In the moment that you’re dreaming, they do not exist – only your dreams do. And that moment is the present moment. And it is yours to explore any time you choose. Take the imagination a step further if you will. Imagine that all realities are imagined. That you are imagining the reality you are in right now. And in a different time/space continuum, but still in this present moment, other realities exist AT THE SAME TIME. Any reality you can imagine. So if the choice is yours to imagine, what picture did your heart create?! Did you save the world with your rockin’ ability to sing? Did you write a novel that inspired others? Did you have free time in your schedule to volunteer with the needy? Did you just sit for a moment of silence in the sun listening to the waves of the ocean in your seaside fortress? Let your imagination take you anywhere and everywhere. It’s God’s gift to you. Available all the time!

And if you’re wondering what led me to this inspiration, below is my daily dose of Notes from the Universe:

Couldn’t you just pretend with the job or occupation you now have, whether or not it even pays or is recognized by others as a job, that you’re receiving a salary of millions each year for doing it? That everyday your peers, partners, or supervisors are left in awe by how you deftly handle each challenge and setback? That there are backroom discussions going on (sh-h-h-h-h….) even as you nonchalantly read this email, about retaining you no matter how high the cost? That shareholders are beginning to whisper among themselves about your legacy, and board members are each hoping to bump into you at the water cooler? That the competition has just hired a management consultancy firm just to keep up with your innovative style?

I think you could, even if you work in your pajamas, and I’d highly recommend it. Especially the “millions each year” part.

See you in the teller line -
The Universe

Unquestioned Assumptions… September 28, 2007

We all make assumptions. It’s a part of life. I’m not putting assumptions down at all, I think they are very useful to me sometimes. Usually assumptions are coupled with a splash of experience, and a dollop of hope or trust. Like how I assume that if I put my lunch in the fridge at work where 40 other people put their lunch, that it will still be there, untouched and ready for me to eat when I go back to get it at lunch!

But what about the assumptions that are not based on experience, or even coupled with hope and trust? What about the assumptions that are born out of fear, or simple acceptance? “New studies report that more than 20 minutes in the sun is bad for you and anything under SPF8 is useless to you as a sunscreen.” Suddenly we’ve got people out there who literally don’t spend more than 20 minutes in the sun and scramble to find SPF 60 to put on their skin everyday! All because a news report said so?!

Or how about the diet industry? Carbs, no carbs, all protein, no wait balanced diet, lots of water, not too much water, eggs good or bad?, and so on and so on.

Or what about that feeling you get when it’s Friday?! You are tying off your list of maybe not so exciting things you had to do this week and making plans for numero uno! That’s right, 3 whole nights and two whole days to do what you want, go where you want, see whom you want and so on. (For those who work Monday – Friday days – if you have a different schedule, then imagine the feelings that are aroused in you when you’re about to get your break of a couple days…)

I love Fridays! TGIF! There’s a light-heartedness in the air no? Most workplaces allow you to ‘dress down’ – maybe wear jeans and perhaps maybe that helps you to feel a little more like yourself instead of Mr or Mrs Suit. But who says that only Fridays are reserved for this feeling? Who told you that you must suffer 4 work days out of the week, and on the 5th you’ll have a little respite and then for two whole days you are your own!?! I mean, if we are dreaming big, if we are the masters of our own design, if we weave the story of our life into a way that allows us access to that TGIF feeling every single day of our lives, would we make the choices we are making right now? Are we just NOT QUESTIONING the assumption that it doesn’t have to be like this? Are we afraid of having the TGIF smile on all the time? What will it be like to be different? How will I feel if I do X and not Y anymore? Who will I be? How will my friends and family view me? How does that make me feel? How would I feel knowing that the best I could possibly imagine, is real in my life right now? Right now. Real, in your life, right now…

Oh there are lots of things to question…

You know that feeling you get when you’re on vacation and not just the weekend? You’re away, exploring, on an adventure, someone else is cooking your meals and cleaning your room for you, all your worries are left behind, and you have nothing in particular as a goal except to enjoy yourself, rediscover sleep, and re-fuel before going back to the grind?! Who says that feeling cannot be accessed every single day of your life, no matter where you are or what you’re doing?

I know a very special person who worked in a post-conflict country for a year and who faced life-threatening danger often, and he considered it a vacation every single day! Everyday he felt joy for seeing the ceiling when he woke up in the morning and everyday when he heard others complain about the hardships of living and working in this environment, he laughed and reminded them that he was on vacation! :) We can adopt any belief about life we choose my friends…and it will certainly shape the experiences you encounter…

Question some assumptions in your life today – gentle questioning that opens doors to ideas, creativity, and your Heart’s voice….

-It’s ragweed season and so I am going to have allergies. That’s an assumption no?

-Once I’ve been promoted to a certain salary level, then life will be ok for me and my loved ones.

-You’ve got to put in the time to get the dime.

-I can’t swim.

-I can’t anything…

-I should anything…

Or how about the big big big ones, that not only involve your life, but the globe and all it’s inhabitants?  How about the assumption that the ozone is depleting?  Or that there is much suffering and poverty?  Or that no matter what we do it never seems to get any better?  What happens if you lived life assuming the opposite?  What would you see?  How would you approach things?  What if the world were a place of birth and rebirth for you?  How would you feel knowing that the planet is an unlimited resource when you align with it in respect and harmony?  Would you like to connect with others who are questioning their assumptions about the world as they knew it from memory and creating a vision for how they feel about seeing it with new eyes?  Check out the Consciousness Project today then…

Enjoy the journey!

Light and Love,

Pamela

I just got back from Showcase – the annual Creative Memories event held for consultants packed with recognition, motivation, and tonnes of ideas and a general enthusiasm that is contagious!!! I think events like this, in whatever field that moves you, are essential to living life with a smile! I am so grateful that I got to share it with my mom and my sisters and my new sisters Vicki and Lisa! :) I truly see a way that CM can help me with empowering others to live their authentic lives by sharing their stories and helping others to share their stories. I think the more stories we share, the more we all grow – and growing is a natural thing! I am so pumped about all the items available through CM to help you bring your stories to life that I would like to share them with the world – one person at a time, so if you have twenty minutes to chat, anytime, just let me know. But more importantly than that, if CM is not your expression of choice, that’s fine too. I just want to help others live their life, their story, their way – so if you just want to chat, or need a point of inspiration, motivation and empowerment, let’s connect!

I was moved by the passion and light when I received an email invitation recently, from someone I do not know personally, for an event being held here in my new hometown.

How amazing that this woman has turned what must have felt like a devastatingly painful event in her life into something so positive, so loving and so sharing. I am inspired by her light. Read her story in the attached .pdf (Elgin’s Crop) to find out more about Embrace of Hope.

It has certainly moved me to find more ways to not only see my dark experiences as potential for great light, but to also use my passions/skills/talents for events of giving, sharing, and living in the light.

7 habits… August 3, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Food For Thought!, Something new to try — Pamela @ 9:15 am

Do you know why there are seven habits of highly effective people? Because Stephen Covey said so. That’s why. Plain and simple. He took the world as he saw it and wrote it into a book and defined seven habits of highly effective people.

We all have that power. To define our world as we see it, but even more so, as we imagine it. So what will you see and imagine today? And how will that translate into your behaviours? And how will you ‘write your book’ today? Express yourself, the world needs to hear your voice too.

Pamela

Fire the grid! July 17, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Food For Thought!, Something new to try — Pamela @ 10:21 am

I was on an amazing teleconference last night, and when the website and project is up and running I am so excited to share it with everyone! In the meantime, there are some amazing projects afoot that I wanted to share with you all so that you too can experience a sense of peace, a sense of togetherness, a sense of healing. It really is already there for all of us, and connecting to what is, in this present moment, is a beautiful gift we have all been given. Imagine if all the problems in your life right now, are there only because you perceive them to be there. And in perceiving them to be there, you unconsciously keep them in your life, until such time when you are able to imagine that that problem is no longer there. That is why I love present moment awareness and really enjoyed reading ‘The Power of Now’. If you truly stop and quiet your mind and all the 60,000 thoughts that course through it on a daily basis, even for a moment, in that moment, is true peace and love. Nothing else. Everything exists, but it just exists, it does not present you with any requirement to action in that moment, other than to observe it from your place of peace and love. What a beautiful gift to have and to share. Then take that gift of imagination from peace and love, and join with millions of others around the globe who are also experiencing it – at the same time, although time is a concept in our minds as well.

Here is a grass roots project by one lady who had a life changing experience and discovered some beautiful truths and is sharing them with the world: www.firethegrid.com Even though 11:11GMT has already passed us by today, allow yourself to feel as though it is has not. That you are joining millions and millions around the world in a common prayer to mother earth. Imagine if for a moment, that the problems we perceive in the WORLD are also there because we observe them, and that the same healing power we each possess is alive and well in mother earth too, and millions are connecting to it. Imagine if you spent an hour in peace and love and imagined better than the best your mind will think possible for mother earth, here in this moment. May you feel the power of the wave overcome you with joy as a new understanding is upon us all.

Peace and Blessings,

Pamela

Imagine… July 5, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Quotes, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 10:09 am

Imagine for a moment; breathe deeply and imagine that all the energy you put towards disliking your current situation was full force in the other direction.

Imagine that you loved your job / your body / your life as much if not more than you dislike it now.

How powerful would that be to you?
That power is yours to have right now, and it has always been there for you, and it will always be there for you.

That power is you.

Ho’oponopono encore… June 26, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try, This worked for me — Pamela @ 2:05 pm

I heard a saying yesterday about this whole Law of Attraction thing – it was something like “If it was hard to do, then everyone would get it.  But it’s simple, and that’s why we have so much trouble with it.”

And then I began to read over the other Ho’oponopono post and realized that it sure is short and sweet!  :)   And I wonder if you realize that it is vital to recognize that this is very simple stuff, but that you have to take it and make it your own.  You can walk around saying “Thank you, I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you” and probably feel better after a while.  It can be that easy – if you want it to be.  But letting go of old patterns, heck, even waking up to them in the first place, can be the greatest challenge some of us may have ever faced….

So take it all in – remember that it is simple – and then make it your own….

“Thank you to that part of me that raised this particular feeling/belief/thought in my awareness at this time”

“Now I know what I have to look into further…thank you.”

“I’m sorry that this feeling caused strife in myself and potentially others.  I see the positive intent behind this feeling, or the old pattern it is in keeping with and I forgive all.”

“From now on my intent with this is to ________”

“I deeply and completely love and accept all parts of myself.”

If you’re breathing deep and placing your hand on your heart or your head, and maybe try staring closely at a mirror!   Let the spirit move you….but don’t feel as though it has to take place in the outer world.  If you’re driving along and feel road rage, you can speak to yourself in the inner world and no one has to know but you.  But others will pick up on your calm demeanor.

Life is to be lived, and I think it is increasingly important to find ways to throw things we love in to the mix and not ’schedule them’ so much.  Someone once asked a yoga instructor what poses she could do to strengthen her ability to bend over and pick up children as she does in her daycare 5 days a week, and with her own two children all the time.  A voice spoke from within me before I could even stop it – and I said – “That is your yoga.  You live it everyday.  Find the stretch, the joy in reaching for a child.  Feel yourself grounded with Mother Earth and Father Sky and breathe deeply and with unconditional self acceptance as you do it.  That is your yoga.”

There is too little time to fit in a class, or wait for advice all the time – just live it in all that you do now my friends….

Laughter really is the best medecine… June 25, 2007

There are many serious yet inspiring stories, of people healing themselves of cancers and other deadly diseases by watching comedies and laughing and using positive intent of self-healing throughout their days. Tonnes of research and world-wide movements into laughter yoga, breathing techniques and through it all no one can deny – breathe is one of the most powerful parts of our existence. Some of us may take it for granted that we breathe – until an unpleasant smell comes into our awareness….but think about this – you can go without water for days, without food for days, but you require breath within seconds (minutes for well-trained peeps who hold it under water!)…

Take some time out to think about your breath today…is it shallow? Does it quicken when you feel a certain emotion? What do you feel after you deepen it? How does it feel to contract you rib cage or to feel your lower belly rising with the power of air, and pushing that air back out again?

We have a general tendency when we get older to breathe lighter and more up in our chest and with a shallow timing. And so goes our laughter as we age. We laugh quickly and sometimes quietly to not disturb any sort of perceived peace around us. Not so when we are young. If you are not around young people right now, then watch the video below to jog your memory:

Above all, remember what it was like to laugh fully – deep in your belly complete laugh our loud laughter. Abandon all notions of what others will think, or how you sound, or anything in and in the moment laugh! Wholeheartedly. There is great therapy in laughter…can anyone in the moment they are laughing feel anything other than joy? I mean truly – doesn’t it all seem to melt away, and isn’t there a sense of restored peace, even if only for a few seconds, after a good laugh?

I encourage you all to laugh and breathe like babies, and to find the laughter in your daily routine.

Light and Laughter to you all!

Pamela

Claim Your Power June 25, 2007

Filed under: Aha moments, Something new to try, little miracles — Pamela @ 2:43 pm

I have watched this video over 25 times now and I just have to put it at the top of my page again, because I feel the power of intent behind it and REALLY want to make sure that anyone who would not otherwise scroll down and read through the posts to find this one will have the opportunity to see it…

May you connect with your dreams in peace and love today….

Grab some kleenex and hold on for the ride – this story is absolutely amazing. It will take your breath away when you become aware of any assumptions you may have made before the end of the video and you will cry out for joy that someone has re-claimed their power, despite all odds, but also with all odds.

When you know what your gift/dream is, sooner or later it will find you a way to realize it, and hopefully you are willing to step up to the microphone when that happens….there could be no better feeling in the world than to live and act in harmony with your purpose. God Bless you Paul for showing us a piece of beauty…
